Hands-On Ceramic Butterflies Workshop

Are your ready to be a part of the Discovery Gallery at Texas Discovery Gardens?

Join artist Du Chau for a hands-on workshop involving hand-building and press mold techniques to make porcelain butterflies.  This workshop is open to ALL AGES! Younger participants will use a much simpler process and different texture tools to add interest.

Every participant will make at least 6 porcelain butterflies and glaze the butterflies with a spectrum of color.  A wall space will be reserved in the Discovery Gallery to install this collaborative project. You work will be displayed alongside the works of Du Chau for his show Silent Dialogues. Participants are welcome to take their butterflies home at the end of the exhibition.

New: This workshop is now COMPLETELY FREE to the public -- so come on out and enjoy making art with the community! Donations are welcome & Butterfly House-Garden admission is regular price, if you'd like to stay and explore.

RSVPs are requested, but not required; to RSVP please contact Chesley (Booking@TexasDiscoveryGardens.org or 214-428-7476 Ext. 343).
