DESCRIPTION:June 7 – Saturday evening. \nPre-event Warm-up: 6:00-7:00 PM – Warm up by touring the Texas Discovery Gardens’ world famous Sammons two-story Butterfly House\, featuring a walk through lush tropical plants with free-flying butterflies from all over the world. You can also stroll the garden grounds before catching your seats. \nShow: 7:00-9:00 PM in the Grand Hall. Jazz in the Gardens will be featuring Martha Burks and her band.\nOpen seating is a combination of Bistro chairs and tables and tables of 10. All seating is open and first come\, first seated. \nBar service will be a selection of beer\, wine\, and non-alcoholic beverages\, along with light snacks. \nAll proceeds will benefit Texas Discovery Gardens\, a 501c3 non-profit supported in part by the City of Dallas Parks and Recreation Department. \nDirections and parking: Enter Fair Park Gate 6 and then turn right onto Second Ave and then another immediate right into the TDG parking lot. Cross the street and follow the string lights to the main entrance. Parking is free. Perfect for kids aged 5-8\, this hands-on camp brings together outdoor exploration\, interactive puzzles\, and captivating lessons about plants\, animals\, and ecosystems. \nEach day\, your child will embark on a thrilling nature-themed quest\, exploring the beauty of our gardens and butterfly house. From scavenger hunts to creative crafts and STEM-based team challenges\, campers will work together to solve clues\, unlock the day’s “Nature Badge\,” and uncover the mysteries of the natural world. \nThrough these fun and engaging activities\, your child will build problem-solving skills\, foster teamwork\, and deepen their appreciation for the environment—all while having an incredible time in the great outdoors. Every day brings a new puzzle to solve and a new adventure to explore! \nCost: \n\n\n$180 for Non-Members \n\n\n\n\n$162 for Members \n\n\nREGISTRATION is REQUIRED to attend this camp.  \nPre-Care and Post-Care Options: We understand busy schedules! Pre-care (8:00–9:00 a.m.) and post-care (3:00–5:30 p.m.) are available for an additional $30 each. \nLunch & Snacks: Lunch and snacks are not provided—please send your child a packed lunch and snack each day. \nImportant Note: Camps require a minimum of 5 registered students to take place.
