Texas Discovery Gardens is seeking two energetic, outgoing, individuals to staff our 2018 Summer Camps! Applicants will be responsible for our campers, aged 3-13, as we implement our mission of teaching children to sustain the natural world. Duties will also include curriculum development, teaching occasional day care groups and other various tasks.

The position is for fourteen weeks, beginning June 1st and lasting until late August.  Compensation is $10/hour, and hours are typically Monday-Friday, with a few additional weekend days, with approximately 30-40 hours per week.

Training is fast-paced, as camps begin shortly after the start date. Applicants should be self-starters who are quick learners. They will gain valuable experience as an Environmental Educator at Texas’ first certified public organic garden.

Applicants should have experience working with children, a basic understanding of life science, and able to be on their feet for 6+ hours.  This can be a fast-paced job, and employees are expected to move quickly and efficiently.  First Aid/CPR certification is required. If the applicant is not already certified, that will be provided for applicants during the first week on the job.

Qualified applicants should turn in their resumes no later than May 21, 2018.
