Texas Monarch Festival

Join Texas Discovery Gardens, the National Wildlife Federation, and other conservation partners to celebrate the marvelous monarch butterfly during the Texas Monarch Festival! This new event will bring together conservation partners in countries along the migration path.

Hear talks from experts and enjoy fun crafts during this new four-day festival. On Thursday we'll be joined by special guest and retiring director of the Dallas Park and Recreation Department, Willis Winters. He'll be signing copies of his book, Fair Park. Friday and Saturday Gail Manning, an entomologist at the Fort Worth Botanical Garden will give insights into the life cycle of the monarch. Saturday we'll have a presentation by David Mizejewski of the National Wildlife Federation.

This event is free with paid admission to Texas Discovery Gardens. State Fair of Texas admission and parking fees apply to festival-goers.
