Unwind and Enjoy at the new Texas Discovery Gardens Biergarten – The State Fair of Texas’ Best Kept Secret!
For The 2024 State Fair of Texas, Texas Discovery Gardens is featuring a traditional German-style Biergarten in our air-conditioned Grand Hall. The Biergarten is complete with communal tables, rustic decor, and a festive atmosphere including authentic German beer, soft drinks, water, sausages, sauerkraut, and pretzels along with German mustard. Enjoy the TDG Biergarten from September 27 to October 20, open 10 am to 7 pm.
With your TDG admission purchase every guest will receive ONE (1) complimentary TDG souvenir cup with one complimentary soda, water, or a Blue Bell ice cream cup. Enjoy your drink and food in our air-conditioned Grand Hall or in one of our many outside seating areas.
Access to TDG and the TDG Biergarten is included with your TDG membership or appropriate paid daily admission. State Fair Season Pass holders receive free admission on all days. As an added bonus, Tuesdays and Thursdays are special half-price admission days at TDG during the 2024 State Fair of Texas. State Fair of Texas coupons and credit cards are accepted for admission, food, and beverages. Sorry, no cash.

Discover our 2-story Sammons Indoor Exotic Butterfly House, the Snake and Reptile Shack, the insectarium and large Axolotl tank, lush outdoor organic gardens, many ponds and fountains, children’s playscape, and the famous garden trains with 7 trains running on over 1000 feet of track and passing by the Alamo replica and historic towns. Daily activities include scheduled butterfly releases, critter encounters, face-painting, Monarch butterfly tagging, and more. TDG has 7.5 acres of fun and excitement, right inside the State Fair of Texas. TDG is located just West of the Star of Texas Ferris Wheel and across from the Band Shell, also designated as #36 on the State Fair map.
