Explorer Camp Sessions

Discovery Crew

June 2-6, 2025

  • Ages: 13-17
  • Description: Discovery Crew is a leadership and volunteer-focused camp designed to help teens develop skills as future leaders and environmental stewards. Participants will have the chance to volunteer as counselors for younger camps, lead activities, and collaborate on team-building projects that create a lasting impact on the gardens. This hybrid camp runs from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, with the option to leave at 12:30 PM or stay until 5:00 PM to earn volunteer hours. Teens may be picked up anytime after 12:30 PM. Additional volunteer hours can be earned by committing to assist with other summer camps.

Critter Quest

June 9-13, 2025

  • Ages: 5-6
  • Description: Critter Quest introduces our youngest explorers to the fascinating world of insects and other critters. Through animal-themed crafts, hands-on investigations, and outdoor scavenger hunts, campers will learn about the role of bugs and other animals in nature while sparking curiosity and creativity. Camps will also feature fun dress-up days.

Bug Squad Adventures

June 16-20, 2025

  • Ages: 7-9
  • Description: Bug Squad Adventures combines the excitement of STEAM activities with an in-depth exploration of bugs and the ecosystem. Campers will enjoy learning about biological topics by interacting with insects, tackling STEAM challenges, and embarking on outdoor bug hunts. Camps will also feature fun dress-up days.

Bugology Bootcamp

June 23-27, 2025

  • Ages: 10-12
  • Description: Bugology Bootcamp offers a deep dive into entomology for older kids ready to become budding scientists. Campers will investigate bug behaviors, conduct hands-on scientific experiments, and explore insects and ecosystems in engaging ways. The camp will also feature dress-up days.

Seedling Safari

July 7-11, 2025

  • Ages: 5-6
  • Description: Seedling Safari invites young adventurers to explore the plant kingdom. Campers will plant mini gardens, learn about seeds and pollination, and use natural materials to create fun, eco-friendly crafts. The camps will also feature fun dress-up days.

Green Explorers

July 14-18, 2025

  • Ages: 7-9
  • Description: Green Explorers combines STEAM learning with a focus on plants. Campers build terrariums, investigate how plants survive in diverse environments, and engage in creative projects inspired by the natural world. To enhance the experience, camps also feature fun dress-up days.

Toilet trained means requiring no assistance in the restroom and being fully able to manage their clothing on their own. If your child is still wearing pull-up style diapers, they are not completely toilet trained.
By attending summer camps, I give my permission for my child to be photographed at TDG and give my permission for those photographs to be used in TDG's marketing and online content.(Required)
Cancelation/refund policy: Camp fee is due time of registration. No registrations will be accepted later than the Friday prior to the start of camp week. You are not fully enrolled in camp until the fee is paid. Camps are contingent upon a minimum of 5 children per session. Texas Discovery Gardens reserves the right to cancel a camp at any time up until one week prior to the start of the camp. All camp sales are final. No refunds will be issued for any reason after camp has begun, unless camp is cancelled by TDG. Cancellations two weeks or more before start date will receive a refund less 20% processing fee. No fees will be refunded if registration is cancelled less than two weeks before the start date. TDG vouchers for other programs or events may be issued on a case by case basis. TDG reserves the right to cancel or change any program for reasons we deem appropriate. In the event that we cancel your program, a full refund will be issued and individuals will be contacted directly. *(Required)
Liability/Emergency: While my child is participating in Texas Discovery Garden Camp, I agree to assume full responsibility for such participation and release Texas Discovery Gardens from liability for any and all personal injuries and/or property damage or loss which I, or my child, may sustain thereby. In the event of an emergency, I give my permission for the staff and/or volunteers of Texas Discovery Gardens to obtain emergency medical treatment for my child. I understand that, if necessary, my child will be transported by ambulance to the nearest emergency medical facility. I agree that any cost incurred for any transportation and/or treatment will be my responsibility. I give my permission to TDG staff to provide my child minor first aid treatment should the need arise until I can be notified and/or other higher level medical care is available. *(Required)
