Art in the Garden

This summer Texas Discovery Gardens had a mural contest. The theme was Native to Texas. Artists were to submit designs that focused the plants insects and wildlife of two of Texas’ eco-regions, the Blackland Prairie and the Trans Pecos.

Eight artists entered twelve designs and the decision was hard!

Our judges also loved a design by Laney Green, it blends the Blackland Prairie and the Trans Pecos beautifully and will be featured in the EarthKeepers Multipurpose Room! We’re excited to make both murals a part of the learning experience at Texas Discovery Gardens.
